Installation

We provide a full supply and fit service to complete your school washroom.

Our commercial cubicle range includes complete toilet, shower and changing room cubicle packs, replacement washroom cubicle doors, replacement washroom cubicle partitions, modesty screens and IPS panel systems for every use and environment.

With our range of toilet cubicles, we are able to provide industry-specific designs to ensure your washroom can cater to the demands of your business. From our more minimalistic and executive looking office cubicles, to the colourful and vibrant designs of our education range; we have a solution to suit every business.

Our shower cubicles are built with longevity in mind, designed to provide the water durability required for them to withstand a humid environment. This ensures that your washroom provides the long-term quality for your investment.

Similarly, when creating a changing room, it’s essential for it to be built with durability in mind. We understand how to create a washroom that is built to withstand the test of time and we take special consideration as to whether the cubicles are intended for a wet or dry changing room environment.

With the COVID-19 pandemic making hygiene the number one priority for commercial washrooms, our ‘superloo’ installation service is the ideal solution. These self-contained toilet cubicles typically include a toilet, basin, hand dryer and vanity unit. They are designed to be used by one person at a time, so the user does not have to use a communal bathroom.

Superloos are ideal for areas with limited space for toilet facilities and can be designated as either unisex or gender-neutral facilities to create an inclusive environment with fully accessible washrooms for all end users.

How To Fit Toilet Cubicles

Knowing how to fit toilet cubicles is a process that needs to be carried out in a certain order. The following steps give you a guide to achieving that professional finish.

Step One: Unpacking and laying out your cubicles – The first thing to do is clear the working space and lay-out your panels and fixings.

Step Two: Mark out and make your wall fixings – Working to your drawing, set the width and depth of your cubicles locating and fitting the U-brackets or U-channels firmly to the wall.

Step Three: Fit the pilasters and partitions – Fix the centre pilasters with the U-brackets or U-channel to the end of the cubicle partitions. You can then place the opposite end of the cubicle panel into your U-channel or U-bracket on the wall. Now take your wall pilasters and fix them directly to the wall using the U-brackets of U-channel. Finally, begin to install each of the toilet cubicle legs to the partitions and ensure each partition is the same height.

Step Four: Fitting the head-rail and doors – Fit the cubicle head-rail, making sure the front fittings are at the same centres as the rear wall and check that the door gaps are correct as per your drawing.

Step Five: Fitting the hinges, doors, and lock – Next step is to fit the hinges and locks to each door and hang the doors on to the pilasters. Once you have checked everything is level, you can fix the cubicle feet to the floor and hang your doors.

What Are Toilet Cubicles Made Of?

Commercial toilet cubicles can be constructed from a variety of different materials, depending on things like location (for example, wet or humid environments would require water-resistant materials), usage and budget. Commercial toilet cubicle panels/walls are typically made from one of three panelling materials:

Solid Grade Laminate (SGL), High Pressure Laminate (HPL), or Melamine Faced Chipboard (MFC).

SGL is durable, easy to wipe clean and water resistant, making it ideal for wet and humid environments like gym changing rooms, and places that prioritise hygiene, like hospitals. HPL is scratch-resistant and versatile, and popular in washroom cubicles with high traffic. MFC is a more economic, low budget option for commercial toilet cubicles in lower traffic washrooms.

How Wide Is A Toilet Cubicle?

Generally, all standard commercial toilet cubicles will have a 450mm diameter of manoeuvring space inside the cubicle itself. The recommended internal width of the cubicle is around 800mm wide, and the recommended internal cubicle depth is 1500mm deep. Commercial toilet cubicle doors have an average opening width of around 600mm; doors are also usually inward opening to conserve space.

Why Do Toilet Cubicles Have Gaps?

In the event of an emergency, it would be easier to notice a person who passed out in a stall with a gap at the bottom. Also, a first responder can slip through the gap and unlock the door from the inside without having to break it down.

Additionally, In a fully enclosed toilet cubicle, it becomes difficult for unpleasant odours to disappear. With gaps above and under the bathroom stalls, air circulates much better and bad smells disappear faster.

A gap at the bottom of the cubicle door also often helps discourage people from engaging in inappropriate behaviour as the cubicle is not fully enclosed.
