This thriving south London golf club has a strong membership and enjoys a close relationship with the famed tennis club. Wimbledon Park Golf Club approached us to redesign and renovate the male members’ washrooms, delivering a clean modern aesthetic that was in keeping with the rest of the property.

After providing the golf club with a full specification, CAD drawings and 3D visuals, we set about undertaking the works in a short, carefully mapped out schedule to ensure minimum disruption to the membership.

An existing manhole cover was sited in the middle of the washroom floor, so when replacing the flooring with non-slip floor tiles, we were mindful of concealing this while still providing essential access.

We installed a half height duct system in the toilet cubicles, which conceals the cistern and all mains and waste water services. Being half height, it provides a shelf behind the toilet for placing bags and coats, or decorative features such as flowers. Both the duct panels and toilet cubicles were made from Solid Grade Laminate and carried a luxury walnut veneer finish.

This walnut finish was followed through underneath the hand wash area as part of the vanity unit, which not only continues the design and colourway through the washroom, but also helps the toilet cubicles to sit more comfortably within the washroom. Underneath the vanity unit we created easily accessible storage space for cleaners and maintenance personnel, which is accessed by hinged panels secured with magnetic clasps.

The Solid Surface countertop was installed with moulded Corian washbasins and the large format mirror behind was custom made with the golf club’s logo etched into the glass. Both hand and hair dryers were located close to the mirror for convenient use after changing and freshening up.

This full service, turn-key project was carried out over a four-week period in 2017 where we managed all deliveries and trades so as to cause minimum disruption to members and the club.
